A week ago to now, I was just landing in Heathrow after a 26 hour journey and after an amazing week. I had no way of adding to this blog while I was away - none of our hotels had internet connection - at least not until we arrived in Beijing on the Friday.
The week was amazing with two days of easy cycling followed by two days of very hard going - up mountains!! If you had told me before hand that I would go up those hair-pin bends on a bike I would have said, "No way!". However, it's amazing what you can do when you have no option.
There's no doubt about it: it was a challenging week in cold weather, albeit with clear blue skies but it was great and I look forward to doing something similar in a few years' time!!
